Feather

Hawaii is heavily dependent on long-distance aviation, which is our largest share of greenhouse gas emissions. HIFI aims to decarbonize Hawaii’s flights by building a community-owned facility which will pull carbon dioxide from the sky and turn it into a carbon-neutral jet fuel. The project, code-named Feather, will reduce fuel imports while providing a viable pathway for former fossil fuel workers.
